I host monthly meet-ups for parents with children with any sort of learning or developmental ‘difference’. It could be that you have a child with an attention deficit disorder, a genetic disorder, dyslexia or dyscalculia, a physical disability, a hearing loss or a language delay. Your child does not need to have a diagnosis of any sort for you to attend the meeting. You are welcome to attend if you have concerns about any aspect of your child’s development, language, social skills, behaviour
These meet-ups are a chance for parents to share their joys and frustrations with other parents who understand. The meet-ups also give opportunities for parents to share resources and ideas, ask questions and give each other tips. Most of all, they are an opportunity to relax, have a coffee and chat to other parents.
The language of the group is English and the group is intended for international families in The Netherlands. Dutch international families are also welcome!
The meet-ups are informal, with no training or organised themes. Parents are welcome to bring their children, as there is also a play corner.
The meet-ups take place every 4th Wednesday of the month and you are welcome to drop-in between 9.30 – 11.30.
The coffee morning is free but a donation of €5 towards costs is appreciated. It is held in Leidschendam in Scheepswerf 18. (There is building work in this area, follow yellow diversion signs marked ‘A’, through Doktor van Zeelandstraat.)
