Autism Wednesdays
Parents of children on the autism spectrum are welcome to meet and play at the international Coffee Mondays.
However, some parents of children on the autism spectrum would like to connect with other parents who have similar experiences. This evening group is open to any parent who has a child on the autism spectrum but especially for parents of teenagers, who are perhaps facing the challenges of puberty, secondary school, homework and relationships. If you are one of these parents, then you may wish to join the Autism Wednesday evening group on the third Wednesday of each month from 19:30 to 21:00.
For whom?
Although the meetings were set up for international families in The Netherlands, Dutch international families are also welcome! The language spoken is English and you do not have to be a native or fluent speaker to join the meetings.
Cost
The parent meetings are free; a donation towards costs is appreciated and there is a pot for your contribution by the door.
Location
The meetings are held in Ypenburg: Vuursteen 8, 2496 RZ Den Haag. There is an easy tram connection between The Hague and Delft (Trams 15 and 19) and it is close to Bus route 30. Ypenburg is easily accessbile by car via A4. There is free parking in the streets around the Vuursteen.
The Autism Wednesday meetings are often hybrid, with some parents joining online. There is also a Whatsapp group connected to Autism Wednesday. Contact Inclusion4all for details.
